Spelling Bee Challenges Students

Eight students participated in Middle School North’s annual Spelling Bee on January 10.  These students received top scores on spelling tests given in all sixth, seventh and eighth grade classes. Congratulations to the winner, Ryan D.R., and the runner up, Demetri P. All the participants did a great job.  

The Chemistry of Fire

Firefighter and paramedic Tony Rodkey, with the Countryside Fire Protection District, gave a presentation on the chemistry of fire to the eighth grade science classes at Middle School North.

Time to Make Gingerbread Houses

Middle School North’s Garden Club held a special holiday event on Dec. 17.  They invited students from several other programs to make gingerbread houses. Ms. Herman showed the students how to piece together the frames for the houses. Then the students had fun decorating their houses with icing and colorful candy.
