Some very creative costumes could be seen in the hallways of Middle School North on Halloween.
Middle School North’s “Mania” was an evening of fun hosted by the Student Council. Students enjoyed a DJ, inflatable obstacle course, hayride in the Townline Elementary parking lot, open gym, photo booth, airbrush tattoos, and much more. This year’s Mania drew approximately 230 students, the largest attendance in the school’s history.

Middle School North had a “pink out” on Wednesday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Staff and students were dressed in pink from head to toe!
Eighth-grade advisories at Middle School North held their annual newspaper costume contest. The groups had a short amount of time to work together to come up with a unique design made up of only newspaper.
Second rotation eighth graders are off to a great start in STEM lab. They’ve started their personalized learning choice projects and are very busy. The students in the photos are working on 3D design and printing, improving their typing skills, designing video games, programming robots, and working together to solve critical thinking puzzles.

Middle School North students kicked off Red Ribbon Week with the theme “Drugs are a nightmare”. Staff and students had fun wearing their pajamas to school. Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October.
Middle School North was selected as a winner of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development’s 2017 Whole Child Awards in the area of Engagement.
