The social studies classes of Ms. Balmes, Mr. McKenzie, and Ms. Roche brought Ellis Island to life in a simulation activity. The students played the both roles of processors and immigrants. The processors were tough and unforgiving to any discrepancies in an immigrants background, but the immigrants continued to persevere through names changes, endless inquiries, and the threat of deportation. Both the students and staff enjoyed the experience and the knowledge gained through this exciting adventure.
