|Art Club||Art Club is for those who have a passion for visual art and want to further explore a plethora of art mediums all year round, including watercolor, acrylic paint, pastels, colored pencils, ink, clay, collage, and more. |Garden Club||Members stay after school for an hour or so and enjoy learning about annuals, perennials and soil. |Jazz Band||This is for Band/Orchestra/Choir students only.|
The ensemble to learn Jazz music (blues, swing, Latin, rock) and Jazz style (including improvisation)! For any band, orchestra, or chorus student. We do have openings for guitar and keyboard as well!

|Scholastic Bowl||Scholastic Bowl is a interscholastic activity that incorporates Jeopardy-style buzzers. Schools will compete in the areas of science, math, social studies, language arts, movies, music, art, and T.V. shows. If you enjoy watching Jeopardy or playing trivia, Scholastic Bowl would be perfect for you!||Mr. Kao||Practices – Tuesday and Thursday from 2:15-3:30 in room 408.|

|Science Club||Science Club will be student driven.|
We will explore and research topics and concepts that the students choose. There will be plenty of hands on activities. We will also use the Engineering Design Process to solve problems and build devices.

|TRY (Teens Reaching Youth)||TRY (Teens Reaching Youth) is a leadership group sponsored by the Hawthorn Middle School North social workers. The group consists of boys and girls (six seventh graders and twelve eighth graders) who have been recommended by teachers and administrators. The TRY students have been identified as having strong leadership, academic and social skills, as well as exceptional understanding and use of the four c’s; critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity. TRY students participate in leadership training and have unique opportunities to implement their skills throughout the school year.||Mr. Van or |
