TRY (Teens Reaching Youth) | TRY (Teens Reaching Youth) is a leadership group sponsored by the Hawthorn Middle School North social workers. The group consists of boys and girls (six seventh graders and twelve eighth graders) who have been recommended by teachers and administrators. The TRY students have been identified as having strong leadership, academic and social skills, as well as exceptional understanding and use of the four c’s; critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity.
