May 26 Eighth Grade Happenings!

Dear Eighth Grade Students and Parents:

Since the State of Illinois will be entering phase three of the five-phase reopening plan,  Hawthorn School District 73 will NOT be holding the promotion ceremony at Libertyville High School on Monday, June 29th, 2020. Instead, both of our middle schools have been working with E.D. Clark Productions to create a special video for our eighth-grade promotion and awards ceremony.  We are anticipating the release of the video the week of June 22nd, 2020.  We will also be planning a virtual video unveiling party.  Details will be coming!

Our eighth grade team is planning a REVERSE parade!  See the flier!  June 01, 3:00-5:00. Eight Grade Reverse Parade Information. June 01. 3:00-5:00 PM   PARADE MAP-MSN

The eighth-grade teams at Middle School North and Middle School South are also planning special remote activities for students during our last week of school. We are looking forward to these fun events!

Additionally, pending any new or changing guidance from the state’s reopening plan, both middle schools are planning a special eighth-grade reunion near the end of summer/Fall.  We will be working with our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to provide a fun experience and yearbook signing.  A huge thank you to our PTO!  Stay tuned!

Sincerely,

Rob Natale – Principal Middle School South

Robert Collins – Principal Middle School North

Natalie Mares – Assistant Principal Middle School South

Charity Trowbridge – Assistant Principal Middle School North
