Eighth-grade students took a walk down memory lane at the Decades Fair hosted by Ms. Balmes and Mr. McKenzie at the Middle School North library. Students were asked to research a decade of American society from the 1950s up to today. In their presentations, the students addressed two objectives: to understand the changes in contemporary American society and to understand how significant events impact society. All students had to research the civil rights movement in their decade, major political policies and key events of the time period. It was clear that the students went the extra mile to present great projects.
